“You will never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.” ~John C. Maxwell

Take a look at your life. How many little things do you do everyday in exactly the same way: Brush your teeth, walk your dog, make your bed, prepare your breakfast, get your kids ready for school, drive to work, have sex at night in the bedroom…. I’m sure the patterns you’ve developed over time work for you. They may be efficient, and they make you feel comfortable.

These comfortaCoupleKissinginPublicble patterns may be keeping you stuck! We are designed to change and evolve as we grow older. Our brains have the amazing capacity to grow new neuropathways. This means – every time we try on a new thought or behavior, we create a new pathway which can eventually replace the old one. Staying locked in a repetitive routine can actually stunt your growth.

I have a challenge for you: Get uncomfortable!

Every day for the next week, do one behavior differently. For instance, explore a new neighborhood with your dog, don’t make your bed, drive a different way to work, make out with your partner in public… You get it?!

At the end of the week, reflect on how changing up your daily routine changed you.
